If I’m using a depth gauge at work I need much more precise measurements than half an inch. I work at a machine shop and deal with CAD design. It is 1.5 inches long and is only marked at every half inch.

GERBER MULTI TOOL SUSPENSION DRIVER

And for some reason the Phillips driver can never seem to get a solid grip on screws. This tool also has terrible ergonomics, it causes hotspots all over the hand and cannot be gripped too tight. When I tried to unscrew it so I could take it out and bend it back into shape the screws stripped on me. The first time I took it out it bent like crazy. The pocket clip on this thing is also complete trash. This makes it so you can’t use a guided sharpener like the worksharp precision adjust or spyderco sharpmaker. I’ve heard complaints from other users about this so it’s not like I just received a lemon. The handles also wobble which makes this multitool feel really cheap. You will never be able to keep your knife sharp with this tool which is a total deal breaker. Because of this the handles rub against and scratch the pliers, more importantly, this causes the blade to smack into the pliers when they close. My biggest problem with this tool is that the handles are not aligned with each other. The scissors work decently well, no complaints there. The reamer is very sharp and can drill a hole out of wood, PVC, or drywall with ease, I use it a lot. (Friend brought the wrong keys to the range.) The file works great, it’s pretty aggressive and I often use it to file burrs off of aluminum. The wire cutters on this tool are a beast, they were able to cut through the mossberg cable lock pictured above with minimal damage. Though it should be noted that accessing the scissors with one hand is not the easiest task in the world. The blade, philips head, and scissors are all accessible with one hand. You’ll never have a sharp blade with this tool.įirst let’s talk about price, this thing comes in at only $30. The handles came uneven and wiggle back and forth, this causes the blade to smack into the pliers. Tl dr: I would not recommend this multi tool.
